Blast from the past

Recently I've been inspired by vintage fashion and icons, well not recently... I'm always inspired by vintage anything. It's been even more this week because my art history teacher was talking about analyzing a picture or work of art and being able to tell when it was made or taken by symbols, clothing etc. She used a picture of Jackie O. (Kennedy) as an example. This reminded me of how much I love her, so I had to show you some of my favorite pictures and more things inspired by vintage and her.

I also found an editorial a couple of weeks ago that I thought I'd never post about but it's pretty vintage inspired and looks like Jackie O's style with a modern twist, so now I feel the urge to show you that as well. It's called Cote d'Allure from the January 2010 Vogue Germany, with Madisyn Ritland.

    The always classy Jackie O, I love her sensible take on 60s fashion. I really admire the cut of her dresses and coats...

    I really wish I had the vintage look.. but I really can't pull it off very well. I always wanted to live back then.. all the women looked so elegant and classy. Anyways, beautiful selection of pics :)

    I do love vintage! I wish everyone still got really dressed up for every occasion... I always feel overdressed now a days and get asked if I'm going somewhere nice later constantly! haha.

    I LOVE Jackie O. When I was like eight I had this billowy white dress that my dad always said made me look like Jackie.. sorry random memory, but I've felt a connection to her style ever since then :)

    There's such an importance placed upon hipsters in fashion these days... I doubt classy style like this will replace the ripped denim... But god, how amazing does jackie look? Love your blog! <3 C
