True Life

I thought it'd be fun to post about my blog name 'Marissa Explains It All'. If you were a kid in the 90s, you loved the nickelodeon show Clarissa Explains It All, naturally it was my favorite show. She was the coolest kid on TV and had the best wardrobe ever, duh. Crop tops, prints, biker shorts, leather, neon colors - how much better can it get? Well, for Valentine's day last year my boyfriend made me an album cover that was supposed to be for a vinyl and had a mix CD inside, what was the cover? A picture of me with the saying "Marissa explains it all"

After seeing this I feel in love of course, and when I decided to make my own fashion blog for more personal use (I also have a blog with two of my friends Q. and C. The Triple Thread) I knew I had to use this name with the encouragement of my boyfriend (thank you Greg!). He made my header, used the same font as Clarissa had in her logo/theme song and I was set!

None the less, they are wonderful!

    I loved that show. I thought it was so awesome that she had an alligator for a pet and a boy climbing through her window. Fergie was sweet, too.

    You're boyfriend's pretty awesome to have made that for you.

    I loved that show!!! It was definitely one of the best things on Nickelodeon.

    I thought that might have been where your name came from, I totally loved that program. It was kinda my first fashion moment, when I loved an outfit she wore so much I made mum take me shopping to find stuff the same.
