Summer Lovin'


Havin' a blast thinking about the summer, the beach and bathing suits. Especially vintage inspired suits, high waisted bottoms, cute little tops, or one pieces with little shorts at the bottom. In classic colors, polka dots, or cute prints. How wonderful does that sound? Someone bring me to Hawaii, I need the warmth!     I've been in love with the dice one from Anthropologie for weeks now. Unfortunately, a college student in the middle of winter in the Midwest doesn't really need such things.

    I love the Modcloth ones! I'd have to try one on though... no idea if they'd be flattering on me haha So cute though. I wish VS would get some.

    oh my, those one pieces are just to die for!! i think i might try one of those high waisted two pieces this summer...i might even try to make my own(fingers crossed)!!

    Love all the vintage photos. The swimsuits you've picked out are fantastic as well. Australian brands Lover and Camilla & Marc have done some excellent vintage inspired swimsuits as well. You should def check them out. xx

    i LOVE retro swimwear. i have coveted many of these exact suits! instead of buying all of the $5.99 clearance separates at target this year, i think i'm going to save my money and buy a nice vintage-inspired swimsuit. fun post!

    It's so lovely this vintage inspired swimsuits! I wish find some like this here in Brazil, but you know... my country is known as our small swimsuits (that I do not complain, we have a lot of sizes - no, we don't live only whit the smallest sizes- and shapes)
    I'm thinking in send some shop make one vintage for me..

    I absolutely love these suits... in theory. But I swear, every vintage-y swimsuit I've ever tried on looks horrendous on me. So, unfortunately, I'll be sticking to my bandeau and low-waisted bikini bottom this summer :(

    I just found your site and the first thing I see is George Harrison and Pattie Body rocking some vintage swimming gear (though not vintage to them at the time). So I think I love you and your blog for it! :)

    I've always wanted vintage swim suits but I've felt weird at the idea of actually swimming in them. I'd rather just have them as decorative beach wear :P

    I myself am in the quest of finding one! Its so hard to find the right one thats cute and cuts at the right places. i love the one pieces the most. its hard to find them dont you think so? especially the frilly ones. sigh.
