Otay

Even though I laid in bed most of the day watching Indian in The Cupboard and The Little Rascals, my boyfriend and I made it outside for a couple of hours. It was gorgeous outside, but my allergies are starting up so it's not so fun! I thought I'd show you some of my purchases from the last month, including some new jelly shoes that I found at Urban Outfitters in one of my new favorite colors! And I finally found a double finger ring that I love for only $8 at Hot Topic (I know Hot Topic..so cool....but hey! It's cute!)

Crop Top; Thrifted
Dress; American Apparel
Socks; Target
Shoes; Urban Outfitters
Double finger ring; Hot Topic

I also am still working on my layout for the blog, a lot has changed already but more will be changing! I'm loving the way it looks! (HUGE THANKS to my boyfriend Greg<3)

Welcome To The Circus

I usually hate anything circus inspired (even though I dream of going to the circus and still have yet to go), but I just saw this editorial for Marie Claire Italia April 2010, I think the lighting, softness of the photos and the makeup/styling of all the outfits is beyond wonderful. I think this is the first time I've loved anything to do with fashion that is circus related.

And if any of you love this look, I suggest going to Forever 21 because they usually have something that is circus inspired, right now I would look at Twist (right now inspired by Alice in Wonderland), but the Twist collection they had called "Cirque 21" in the summer (late July) that was inspired by the circus fully. Here's some from the Cirque 21 collection:

April Fools!

I decided to try to change up the layout of blog, so if you haven't noticed thanks to help of Avalonne from the girl from hk, ldn & sf (thank you so much!) and my boyfriend I figured out the HTML to fix my blog up a bit (I know so fancy...) next is figuring out how to put in a background. I'm liking it, there's still a few things to fix up, so I apologize if you have visited or will visit and everything is all over the place! I should be done by the end of the weekend.

Anyway, in my last post I promised to talk about The Chapin Sisters, and now it's time. I was completely blown away by these two (used to be three) blonde bombshells as soon as they walked out on stage. Originally from Brooklyn now living in LA, they both have amazing voices and amazing outfits with hilarious personalities. They ended up singing back up for She & Him during the concert so I got to see them in two outfits, which was wonderful my jaw dropped at their first outfits! (I wish I had pictures from the show!) Anyway, they only have one album out now but one on the way soon, so check them out, look out for them and love them!

Me with Abigail after the show

The Chapin Sisters were also chosen as to be on the list of 'Beautiful People of 2006", so they've been rockin' their amazing looks for years now!
"The Chapin girls were bred on vinyl, listening to Neil Young and the Beach Boys as toddlers. As children, they sang backup on Tom Chapin records. The middle child, Abigail, admits to stints as a grunge girl, hip-hopper and punk rocker. "It was a rebellion against my family," she admits. The group, however, is definitely a family affair. Jessica's oldest brother, Johnny Craven, is their manager, and Tom Chapin offers them sage advice on making it in the record business. "He has taught us how not to sell your soul to be a rock star," Lily says." -Paper Mag

Today I had my first interview for a summer job, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works out, and I bought a BEAUTIFUL Trench coat at Zara, I'm excited to show you all. Tomorrow I'm off to the city with my family, pictures to come.

P.S. I fell for the 'Chanel designing a line for Target' joke that has been going around the internet/blogs today... I was so excited for that one or two minutes I believed it :(
