Pattern Perfect: London Fashion Week Fall 2011

It's time for my favorites from London Fashion Week, there was less favorites from London. I wasn't so impressed by a lot of the collections. But the ones I did like, I loved. London's collections were filled with patterns, color blocking and gorgeous fabrics.

Acne - The structure of all of these looks is perfect, the shapes and the colors go so well together.

Peter Pilotto - the layering is genius, and I love the light blue tights!

Jonathan Saunders - his collections are always a favorite of mine, ever since he did a line with Target and I fell in love with the color blocking dress I bought years ago. This collection again is full of color, patterns and gorgeous skirts/lengths.

Christoper Kane - well. this just blew my mind. the way Tavi compared the detailing of most of this collection so 90's teen inspired. I love this idea, and how he put it together with great pieces.

Mulberry - the matching skirt and jacket combinations in this collection that I never thought I liked, I loved. Mulberry did this matching combination so well that it looked so chic. That quilted leather combination? come on, so cute! Not to mention the bags are amazing (as always)

Matthew Williamson - Matthew is another London designer I've loved for many years. He always does amazing things, and this collection is equally amazing! I love the patterns and colors used, and textures!

Milan is coming!

Green With Envy: New York Fashion Week Fall 2011

I can't believe I've been so horrible at updating this for so long, almost a whole year. I'm finally starting to feel inspired enough again to start this little old thing back up. There's no better way then to show some (a lot) of my favorites from New York Fashion week that just past. I loved this season even more than usual because of all the ways to see the "inside" of fashion week with backstage pictures, accessory pictures and more thanks to blogs, tumblr and twitter. I felt like I was there watching live streams of shows - my favorite being MBMJ and trying to spot all my favorites at Glamour. It's really becoming a huge way of connecting through the internet to the designers. I can't help but be more excited to see what's coming. Hopefully it's finally me at fashion week..

There were so many collections I fell in love with this season, which usually never happens. I couldn't narrow it down, so I picked ten. Well I had around 15 of my favorites and narrowed it down, I figured you guys wouldn't want to see that many.

Araks - this is one of the many designers I learned to love while at my internship, mainly because of the gorgeous sheer maxi everything. Which doesn't fail this season, thanks Araks.

DKNY - Woah is this collection wearable. I never like DKNY enough to actually rave about it here, but I can't help but love all the pieces as separates and as an outfit. Everything is so wearable and so in trend. It's perfect for my new wardrobe? Yes.

Derek Lam - Again with the maxi skirts, which I conquered by the way at my internship and now love wearing. Back to the subject, the shapes are the best.

Jill Stuart - I can't even begin to explain my love for this collection. I think it might be my top 3 which surprises me I never love Jill Stuart this much! But how can you not with foxes, owls, leather, sparkles and jewel tones. Come on. It's genius.

3.1 Phillip Lim - This cobalt blue is all over the runway, and because of it I've been painting my nails this color for two weeks. This is my inspiration for the rest of winter.

Yigal Azrouel - I've posted the Pre Fall collection for Yigal, saying how much I loved it. This didn't fail to meet my expectations. I love the pale pink and greens, the combination goes amazing together. The men's wear ties and collared shirts are a perfect match for those colors.

Marc by Marc Jacobs - Even if I hated this collection there's no way I wouldn't put Marc on the list. He's amazing, but so is this collection. Foxes (again.) COME ON! Red leather bags, bold prints, Green (again!) Metallics. I can't even.

Bodkin - I never really noticed Bodkin before, but this collection caught my eye because of the shapes, I love the boxy shapes of the dresses, jackets and skirts. It's perfect.

Proenza Shcouler - This collection blew my mind. The accessories (that white necklace) the colors (cobalt! again!), the textures, the layering. It's just simply gorgeous and amazing.

Last but not least, Creatures of the Wind - another new favorite, the patterns and the vintage look went straight to my heart.

Back with London and Milan soon, and more outfit posts. I swear this time!

Looking At Spring

Lindsey Wixson, Terry Richardson, Opening Ceremony. Need I say more? The Opening Ceremony Spring 2011 lookbook shot my Terry Richardson is completely amazing, and the lovely Linsdey Wixson helps with that. Total girl crush there.

The rich colors and patterns in their spring looks are gorgeous, I love all the stripes and the brightness of every single pieces. Lindsey why can't everything look that good on me?

Showcase

Alright, winter break is coming to an end. I finally have had my much needed break from everything other than working and I'm back. I don't know if this is going to be as regular as it used to be, but I've missed it. I've missed reading and talking about fashion, taking outfit pictures and showing off all my new clothes from the holidays!

After interning at Glamour there was many designers I was introduced to that never really caught my eye at all. Nows the time to showcase my new favorites thanks to the Glamour editors and my bosses.

First up, a like from before my internship, but a love after my internship: 3.1 Phillip Lim
I think I'm becoming mildly obsessed with Phillip Lim, and his wonderful gorgeous creations, Pre Fall 2011 didn't fail me. Navy, Grey and Brown? Come on, that combinations of neutrals might be my favorite Lim, why must you tempt me!

Next, Jenni f******* Kayne, I can't even begin to tell you how much I've come to love everything from this girl. Everything leather, gorgeous colors and perfectly structured. I think Bradbury Lewis is sick of Glamour requesting every piece 24/7, but hey Glamz got good taste!

Okay, okay. I feel like I should have loved Preen way sooner, but I have no excuse. Regardless, Preen won my heart with their gorgeous dresses, pre fall has done it yet again.

Lastly, but not least Yigal Azrouel. Not everything has always made me say "I die." but it has interested me, and for some reason I'm loving everything even if I wouldn't actually wear it. It's so interesting and different from what I always love.
