London Impression

London fashion week FW2010 favorites-

Clements Riberio - so wearable, and so beautiful. The embellishing is gorgeous!

Erdem - blew my mind, in love with all the patterns so much the colors are so rich and wonderful for fall, plus the metallics.

Paul Smith Women - love the girly rocker mix, with the ripped fishnets and the floral print dresses, the colors are wonderful and so are the shoes!

Twenty8Twelve - the velvet, thats all I have to say about this.

Overall, London impressed me as usual, but my favorite was Erdem - they were truly amazing the attention to detail in each garment is gorgeous and I love the color palette so so much.

Also, thank you to Alix from Alix Darling
for the Princess award, you rock!

Top Picks: Part 2

I told you I would follow up with more of my favorites from New York Fashion Week, and here are the last of my favorite designers in alphabetical order once again:

Marc by Marc Jacobs - once again Marc amazes me, as always. I am in love with the draping of fabrics, the colors (oranges and reds mixed with greys and browns) and the patterns.

Mulberry - surprisingly Mulberry was another one of my favorites, I am obsessed with the luxurious bold patterns, shoes, fabrics and designs Mulberry put together

Oscar De La Renta - the classic ODLR did it again, the sheer dresses of course won me over a long with the fur accents and the gorgeous embellishments

3.1 Phillip Lim - rising Phillip Lim used gorgeous pale colors with silky accents and sheer tights to bring the whole look together

Rebecca Taylor - I really found Rebecca Taylor's collection to be really wearable and had gorgeous pieces and looks. The shoes are amazing with the big ribbon bows, the bow sash belts, and I love the prints!

I think over all my top three favorites are Marc Jacobs, Mulberry and Rebecca Taylor.

Top Picks: Part 1

Well, New York Fashion Week is officially over, and I can start showing my favorites from the week. I have too many that I narrowed them down to 10(ish), so I'll split it up into three posts of favorite designers overall and some favorite looks that I wasn't expecting. I was pretty thrilled with everything for FW this fashion week, a lot blew me away and took it to another level. I've already mentioned here that I saw a trend of oranges that I'm loving so much, with that I've also noticed a lot more velvet (YES, I love velvet) and more sheer, more black, more color blocking and knits. All of which I'm thrilled about.

First five favorites in alphabetical order:

Adam - gorgeous shapes, knits, shoes, tights and detailing of the knits won me over.

Costello Tagliapietra - in love with the colors and the blocking of different colors used, the dull green, pinks and oranges are gorgeous

Julian Louie - this to me is so wearable, I would die for any of it, of course the neutral colors and pale ones made me love this so much.

Milly - I was surprised I enjoyed Milly's line as much as I did, I usually am not a fan but I loved the color blocking and the textured tights. The patterns she used made me think private school, and Paris for some reason!

Here's some orange inspirations:
