February Style Inspiration: Michelle Williams

It's officially February, I had a snow day at school today which was much needed. I spent the whole day in my boyfriend's room watching people make snowmen. (I hate the snow and refuse to go outside). So now for my part 1 of 2 style inspirations for this month. The lovely Michelle Williams is my girl. In the past couple of years she's been becoming very fashionable, from awards to street wear I love everything.

She's also been featured in British Vogue in April 2008, the editorial reminds me so much of everything I'm loving for spring! And she looks gorgeous on top of all the styling and the setting.

And also was on the cover of Vogue in October 2009 the whole shoot screams 60s and Twiggy to me, then I again I try to find the "Twiggy" in everything because I'm a little in love with her.

I seem to be drawn to the girls with pixie hair cuts huh? I wish I could pull that off but I would never have the guts! I am getting my hair cut when I go home for my sister's birthday, chopping a lot off I think, but that might change.

& thank you all for the sweet comments in my last post, (Arlyn - HI I LOVE YOU, I hope you see this) I'm glad you all read my blog and like what you see!

Craving Pastels

I was really excited today when Fashiongonerogue finally posted the preview of Oscar De La Renta SS 2010 campaign. ODLR is my all time favorite designer, and this picture is beautiful

Also I wanted to share the Girls Allowed editorial from the March 2010 issue of UK Vogue (with Alexa Chung on it, I can't wait to get my hands on it!) The colors, textures and fabrics are gorgeous so of course all you bloggers must see it.

Snapshot

During Thanksgiving, I search my grandmother's house for things I haven't seen yet. Stepping into her house is literally like stepping into a thrift store. Half because she volunteers at one and sorts all the jewlery before it goes into the store (which means TONS of free jewlery) but also because she likes to collect ridiculous but amazing things.
I finally found her senior yearbook (1946) that she had not remembered where she put, it was the most amazing find ever. She showed me her high school boyfriend, and shared memories. But obviously my favorite part was staring at the fashion, and hairstyles, but mainly my beautiful grandma.

and I love her senior quote.

Right after that, I found this amazing spread from Vogue U.K. in January 2006

Modern Day Twiggy

Since the 1960s Twiggy has been a fashion icon in both the UK and the US, but who is becoming the modern day Twiggy? I vote for Pixie Geldof, sister of Peaches Geldof. Not only is her name Pixie, but she's rockin' the pixie haircut just like Twiggy did, but what's different? The style, the clothes, the colors. Here's a recent spread from Vogue UK September 2009 Issue:

Loving the leather, black and studs. I can not wait for fall to try and recreate these looks!
