1940s

I have to do a project in my Historical Analysis of Costume class on a decade, I chose the 1940s and interviewed my grandmother about the style, hair, fabrics and clothing of the decade. It was so interesting to hear stories I would have never heard without asking these questions. So I wanted to show you some of the family pictures I gathered for this project, I really love old pictures so much and it makes it ten times better that the people in the pictures are my family!

My Grandma in the first picture, My Nana in New York in the second

Grandparent's wedding - I love this picture.

Also, here's some pictures from my grandma's senior yearbook from 1948 that are so amazing

There's something thrilling, I think, in looking at old black and white photographs. I can't imagine how cool it is to not only see old photos, but of your grandparents!

This is also why I like looking through old newspapers. :) Thanks for sharing!

Great pictures. So sweet of you to share. You can definitely see the influence of Dior's Corolle line in the late 1940s pictures!
