Out of it

It's official, my internship at Glamour Magazine is over, I'm depressed so I'm making up for not being surrounded by amazing clothing, people and style everyday by blogging. Hopefully this fills the glamour void in my life for the next semester until I go back to intern in the summer.

I need to scan in an editorial from the January issue of Glamour, I attended one of the photo shoots and i'm pretty in love and obsessed with it, so I must show you guys once finals are over.

It's officially finals week, which means I can't even relax yet...I'm living in sweaters recently. It's snowing here and I would be enjoying it listening to music and drinking hot chocolate but instead I'm studying. I'm being lazy and doing a semi "outfit" post with my computer camera instead of a real one. I apologize, hopefully I'll be back to normal soon.

Hectic

I apologize for not blogging for almost two weeks, it is totally not like me but I needed a break. This past week was the first week of my internship and the last week of working at Zara in my current town (I will be transferring to a Zara by my school when I move in). So I was concentrating on all of that. I love my internship so far, which I'm so happy about but I'm so sad about leaving my coworkers at work!

So this is my first outfit post in like forever, and I wish I had time to take some before I leave for my internship but it's way to early, I'm going to try and do more as much as I can. So everyone hang in there I'll be back on a regular basis soon hopefully!

Top; Forever 21
Shorts; thrifted
Shoes, watch, ring; gifts!

I have literally two free days to pack my life away for school, I'm getting nervous.
On another note - how many of you think I would look good with a pixie cut? I've been dying for one for like half a year but I'm too scared. I feel like if a lot of random people tell me it will look good I can convince myself to do it. Let me know your opinions!

Out of the loop

While I was at the Hamptons I didn't really get dressed up because we didn't go anywhere but the beach! I fit this little outfit in when we took a drive into the center of town for a little. South Hampton is a little crazy, there was a Saks Fifth Avenue in the middle of town and a million other very expensive stores, it was interesting to see but I felt a little out of place!

I got this top a couple of days ago at Goodwill, it was a great find! It's 100% silk and it's originally from J.Crew! I was thrilled when I found it.

This clutch was a birthday present from my friend, I spotted it in Anthropologie awhile ago and thought it would be so cute to use as a clutch but I had no money on me so my friend actually went back and bought it for me! I'm in love with it and the fact that it looks just like an envelope! So cute!

Everyday is a blur

Today I visited a family friends house that happens to be a farm with the Delaware River in the backyard, nice right? Of course I knew it was the perfect place to take my pictures today.

I finally got my hands on the giveaway bag I won thanks to Meg from Another Day to Dress Up, I was so excited to finally see it! Its perfect, has a million pockets and of course the map print makes it the best thing ever!

Style Your Sole

Today my fashion club at school had a 'Style Your Sole' Party sponsored by Toms Shoes. I've been meaning to talk about Toms Shoes for awhile now so this is the perfect opportunity. I finally got my first pair today and was so so excited. They are probably the most comfortable shoes I've worn in a very long time, and so worth the money. I totally support the company and what they do. A Secret? I've wanted these ever since I found out that Hanson wears them and supports Toms Shoes (silly huh? - it's okay I still love Hanson and always will).

Toms Shoes were created with the idea of that every pair bought a pair will be donated to children in need - One for one.
You can find out more about the movement here

Teen Vogue recently had a contest with Toms Shoes to style them and all then entries were amazing but this was the winner - so awesome.

When you buy a pair all of this comes in the box, I'm so excited about the flag!

533 days

After running to Target for some errands with my boyfriend we went to Barnes & Noble to kill time, of course my first stop is the magazines I usually take a Vogue from every country and look through them all but to my surprise, Lula #10 was staring right at me. I almost screamed, grabbed the only one I saw and was content, then looked down and saw a huge stack of Lula with different covers, went through the options and picked my favorite. I've been dying to get my hands on a Lula magazine who would have thought Montclair, New Jersey's Barnes & Noble would start carrying it? Not me. But I'm not complaining, it's the most amazing magazine has wonderful editorials and interviews and I'm so very happy to have one in my possession finally.

(I got excited to see the editorial I just posted about here in the issue!)
Trench coat & cardigan; Zara
Halter romper & sash; American Apparel

Also, I'm pleased to announce that I will be starting a "blogger of the month" type post every month but I think it's going to be more of a "blogger I admire... of the month" because I feel like blogger of the month is too cliché haha, and I got a very exciting call today about something I'm really pumped for... I can't tell you for a month or so though! Stay tuned :)

ATTENTION: I entered the "Keds Casual Style" contest on Chictopia and to my surprise, I'm actually doing pretty well so I would love it if all you lovely readers that have chictopias would vote for me! It would make me so happy! Please vote here

No use dwelling on what might have been

Today I decided to branch out the slightest bit and try mixing patterns, I did it in the most subtle way possible, but I think I like it! I felt very summery today, I sat outside for hours helping out with my fashion club's yard sale which was a lot of fun! All my clothes sold fast, of course hehe! Tomorrow I'm stuck in class and studying for most the of day which should be hard with this beautiful weather.

I love She & Him

Okay readers! It's finally time to tell you all about seeing She & Him and seeing Zooey in real life! Unfortunately it was raining and I had to travel into New York City with my boyfriend, it wasn't the best day to go in, but it was so worth it! We got there an hour before the doors opened and I some how sneaked my way to the front of the line (I guess being small does pay off sometimes!) I was literally maybe two feet max away from the stage, right smack in the middle! Best spots I could have asked for (I was scared I wouldn't be able to see - I always get stuck behind someone tall). BUT She & Him had asked that no pictures, video or audio be taken at all........I was so upset!
....but don't worry readers, I never disappoint! During the 2nd encore (there was three) I whipped out my camera and said **ck it, it's going to be over soon anyway! I sneaked a handful of pictures just for my wonderful readers.

Their opening act was The Chapin Sisters (more about them soon) and then She & Him came on. They played almost both full records (Volume 1 and Volume 2) and even played an M. Ward song, there was not much talking to the audience it was more song playing but it was fine with me, Zooey sounded even better in person and has such an amazing voice! M. Ward is completely insane on the guitar and is awkward in the best way possible.

Sorry I couldn't get better ones, I'm waiting for some to eventually show up online, theres already some from the night before! If I find any I'll post them too!

Here's my one of two purchases from the concert (I also bought the opening acts album)

Cardigan; Zara
Tshirt; She & Him
Shorts; Thrifted
Tights; Target
Boots; Thrifted

Overall Zooey was more amazing than you could ever imagine, and I'll never forget it!

This outfit seemed very Alexa Chung to me after I saw these pictures of myself, and that's completely fine with me.
